The Background

ALS Dental, established in 2019, is a UK-based network of dental laboratories specialising in the creation and manufacturing of dental products supplied to dentists nationwide. As a key investment pillar of private equity firm Ansor, ALS Dental has rapidly expanded its operations by acquiring top laboratories in Crown and Bridge, Prosthetics, and Orthodontics, aiming to become Europe’s most innovative dental manufacturing business.

The Challenge

In 2020, ALS Dental comprised approximately four laboratories but had ambitious plans for rapid expansion through acquisitions. Their existing website was basic and insufficient to showcase their growing network and capabilities. They required a comprehensive website that would not only highlight their services and network but also attract potential laboratory partners considering acquisition opportunities.

Our Solution

Collaborating closely with ALS Dental, we initially designed and developed a comprehensive, fully custom brochure website which was later expanded to have eCommerce features. Key features of the solution included:

1. Advanced Content Management: We implemented a modular content builder, providing ALS Dental’s internal marketing team with advanced content creation and editing capabilities. This feature enables the team to manage and maintain the website efficiently, keeping it dynamic and up to date.
2. Showcasing Network and Services: The website effectively highlights ALS Dental’s extensive network of laboratories, and the range of services offered, including digital workflows and innovative dental products.
3. Attracting Potential Partners: By presenting a professional and comprehensive online presence, the website serves as a platform to attract new laboratories considering acquisition, supporting ALS Dental’s growth strategy.
4. Integrated eCommerce Shop: In subsequent phases, we added an integrated eCommerce shop, allowing ALS Dental to offer products directly through the website, enhancing their service delivery.
5. Learning ‘Academy’: We developed a learning ‘Academy’ featuring both real-world and online courses, providing valuable educational resources for dental professionals.
