The Background

The Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Kent is a collaborative initiative between Kent County Council (KCC), Kent Libraries, and the British Library. Its mission is to support entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses in Kent by providing access to a wealth of resources, including information on intellectual property, business guidance, training programs, and events. By leveraging the expertise and resources of its partners, BIPC Kent aims to foster innovation and economic growth within the local community.

The Challenge

While Business & IP Centres had been established in various regions across the UK, Kent lacked such a facility. KCC sought to launch the first BIPC in the county, necessitating a comprehensive and user-friendly website to serve as the central hub for their services. The website needed to provide seamless access to a vast library of resources, facilitate training and event bookings, and effectively communicate the Centre’s offerings to the local business community. Additionally, budget constraints required a cost-effective solution without compromising on functionality or user experience.

Our Solution

To meet KCC’s requirements, we proposed utilising our cost-effective package brochure website as the foundation, supplemented with tailored enhancements to address their specific needs. The key components of our solution included:
